Mount Marty Cross Country: GPAC Championships Recap
The Mount Marty men's and women's cross country competed at the GPAC Championships. The teams delivered a solid effort, highlighted by an exceptional individual performance that earned the Lancers a coveted All-Conference honor.
Men's Team Performance
The Mount Marty men's team finished 8th out of 11 teams in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
The standout performance belonged to Sophomore Joseph Cross, who earned All-GPAC honors by finishing 12th overall in the championship race. This top-15 finish secures his place among the conference's elite runners and marks a significant achievement for the Lancer program. Cross finished with a time of 25:25.90.
Senior Tague Tvedt finished 48th with a time of 27:39.90.
Junior Owen Koontz finished 60th with a time of 28:44.40.
Freshman Drake Nemetz finished 64th with a time of 29:06.10.
Freshman Jude Shaughnessy finished 67th with a time of 29:18.60.
Freshman Carson Conway finished 68th with a time of 29:18.60
Junior Alan Santiago finished 83rd with a time of 32:54.60.
Senior David Phillips finished 84th with a time of 33:43.30.
Mount Marty's men's cross country total time was 2:20:14.90 which was an average of 28:02.98.
Women's Team Performance
The Mount Marty women's team finished 11th out of 12 teams at the GPAC Championships.
Junior Alexis Gosch finished 62nd with a time of 25:27.90
Freshman Brenna Lyngstad finished 76th with a time of 27:30.90
Freshman Whitney Wollberg finished 82nd with a time of 30:24.60
