Mount Marty Men's Tennis Tops Midland, 5-2, in GPAC Road Win

The Mount Marty men's tennis team delivered a strong all-around performance Friday afternoon, earning a 5-2 victory on the road against Midland in GPAC play. After dropping the top doubles match, the Lancers battled back to take the doubles point and rode that momentum into a dominant singles showing.

Looking ahead to the GPAC TournamentÂ
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Morningside men will be the number one seed when the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Tennis Tournament begins on Thursday, April 24. The GPAC Men's Tennis Tournament will be played in Sioux City, Iowa, with Morningside University serving as host at the Mason Family Tennis Complex. If the tournament needs to be moved indoors it will be at the First Serve Tennis Center in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
The Mustangs were champions of the regular season with a record of 6-0. Mount Marty will be the two seed after a 4-2 regular season. Concordia will be the three seed (4-2), with Midland the fourth seed (4-2). Northwestern (2-4) and Doane (1-5) will be the five and six seeds. The top six teams from the regular season standings qualify for the postseason tournament. The number one and two seeds will have first round byes. GPAC tiebreakers were used to determine the seeds.
The champion of the postseason tournament will advance to the NAIA Men's National Tennis Championship in Mobile, Alabama, at the Mobile Tennis Center on May 13-17, 2025.
