Mount Marty Volleyball Wraps Up Blue Angel Bash with Day Two Split

Milwaukee, Wis. — August 23, 2025 — Mount Marty University volleyball closed out the Blue Angel Bash with a split on Day Two, falling to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in straight sets before bouncing back to sweep host Mount Mary. The Lancers finished the weekend with a 3–1 overall record.

In the morning match, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods proved too consistent at the net, defeating Mount Marty 25–22, 25–13, 25–10. The Lancers struggled offensively after a strong first set, hitting just .051 as a team. Julia Weber led Mount Marty with 10 kills and 7 assists, while Caitlin Guenther added 7 kills on 14 swings. Setter Brianna Even dished out 16 assists and tallied 4 digs, and libero Adisyn Indahl recorded a team-high 7 digs. At the net, Grace Nesdahl and Weber combined for 2 blocks, but the Pomeroys' .348 team hitting percentage proved too much to overcome.

Mount Marty responded with authority in its final match of the weekend, sweeping Mount Mary 25–15, 25–10, 25–9. The Lancers were dominant on both sides of the ball, hitting .375 while holding the Blue Angels to -.160. Weber once again paced the attack with 7 kills, 7 assists, and 5 digs, while Nesdahl was efficient with 6 kills on .455 hitting. Guenther added 5 kills and a .714 hitting percentage, and Furst chipped in 6 kills at .417. Even controlled the offense with 17 assists, while Indahl anchored the back row with 10 digs. Mount Marty also earned 7 service aces, led by Schweitzer and Indahl with 2 each.

With the win, Mount Marty closed its opening weekend 3–1, showcasing depth across the roster and balanced production at the net.
