Lancers Battle at MMU Invite, Highlighting Depth Across Both Teams
The Mount Marty men's golf program showed its depth at the 2025 MMU Invite, fielding two full squads and several individuals against a strong field at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton. The Lancers placed 11th with their A Team (631) and 13th with their B team (650), while two individual competitors also gained valuable tournament experience.
Mount Marty A Team (631 – 326/305)

Wout Kerkhofs led the way for the Lancers, finishing T20 at 151 (+7). Kerkhofs fired a steady opening round 73 (+1) before closing with a 78 (+6), marking him as the top Lancer finisher in the tournament.

Guus Van Loon posted a consistent week with rounds of 78–78, finishing T38 at 156 (+12).

Hunter Bailey made one of the biggest improvements for MMU, bouncing back from an 85 (+13) in round one with a 74 (+2) in round two. He finished T51 at 159 (+15).

Parker Riley also showed resilience, cutting 15 strokes from his first to second round. After a 90 (+18) opening round, he rebounded with a 75 (+3) to close at 165 (+21, 60th place).
Mount Marty B Team (650 – 318/332)

Max Glasheen opened with a superb even-par 72 to put himself in contention before slipping to an 84 (+12) on day two. He finished T38 at 156 (+12), tied with Van Loon for the best score on the B squad.

Lane Tvedt also posted a strong first round 74 (+2) before closing with 83 (+11), ending at 157 (+13, T44).

Carson Pedersen recorded twin rounds of 83 (+11/+11), placing him T61 at 166 (+22).

Austin Martin improved seven strokes from round one to round two, finishing with 89–82 for a 171 (+27, 69th place).

Ryker Larson rounded out the B team, posting 91–93 to finish at 184 (+40, 72nd place).
Individual Competitors

Evan Ness gained experience, cutting 13 shots between rounds to card 102–89 for a 191 (+47, 74th place) finish.

Leo Garcia played as an individual in round two only, carding a 75 (+3), one of the lowest single rounds by a Lancer in the tournament.
