Lancers Open Season with 37–22 Road Victory at Clarke

Mount Marty football kicked off the 2025 season in impressive fashion, defeating Clarke University 37–22 on the road Saturday afternoon. The Lancers showcased a balanced attack on offense and a disciplined defensive effort to secure the program's first win of the season.
Offensive Breakdown
Quarterback Rugby Ryken led the Lancers' offense with efficiency and playmaking, completing 18 of 29 passes for 271 yards and 4 touchdowns while adding a rushing score. Ryken connected with four different receivers for touchdowns and averaged 9.3 yards per attempt.
On the ground, Malachy Harts carried the workload with 27 rushes for 148 yards (5.5 avg), controlling the tempo throughout. Ryken chipped in a 16-yard rushing touchdown, while Kyle Hirsch added 33 rushing yards on 10 carries.
