LANCERS RUN AWAY LATE IN 5–0 SHUTOUT OVER NEBRASKA WESLEYAN
YANKTON, S.D. — The Mount Marty University women's soccer team delivered a dominant performance at home on Wednesday afternoon, overwhelming Nebraska Wesleyan University 5–0 to remain undefeated on the season (2–0–1).
The Lancers dictated tempo from start to finish, pairing a clinical offensive attack with a stifling defensive effort that held the Prairie Wolves to just a single shot on goal all afternoon.

19' (MMU 1, NWU 0) — Mount Marty set the tone midway through the first half when Rhyli Grim finished off a setup from Sydney Kroger and Liz Stordahl in the 19th minute to put the Lancers ahead 1–0.

43' (MMU 2, NWU 0) — Just before the break, Julianne Donnelly doubled the advantage, striking off an assist from Kiersten Ostnes to give Mount Marty a comfortable two-goal lead heading into the locker room.

85' (MMU 3, NWU 0) — After a quiet stretch in the second half, center back Alyssa Rios broke through in the 85th minute, converting off a feed from Angelina Hopwood to push the lead to 3–0.

90' (MMU 4, NWU 0) — Avery Hoskins sparked a furious final minute of play, striking off passes from Sydney Kroger and Eleanor Haslam with under a minute left in regulation.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE Mount Marty dominated every statistical category, outshooting Nebraska Wesleyan 21–1 overall and putting 16 shots on frame compared to NWU's single attempt. The Lancers also controlled set-piece opportunities, holding an 8–1 advantage in corner kicks.
Lancers goalkeeper Miranda Hood earned the win and the clean sheet, making one save in 90 minutes of action. Nebraska Wesleyan split time between two goalkeepers, with Cassidy Hofstetter taking the loss after making 10 saves across 79 minutes before Catthi Pham logged 11 minutes in relief.
