DONNELLY'S THREE-ASSIST SHOW POWERS LANCERS PAST SAINT MARY 4–2

OMAHA, NEB. — The Mount Marty University women's soccer team remained undefeated on the season and perfect in Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) action, earning a hard-fought 4–2 road victory over College of Saint Mary on Wednesday afternoon.

Midfielder Julianne Donnelly delivered a masterclass performance in playmaking, recording a goal and three assists to lead the Lancers (5–0–3, 3–0–0 GPAC) past the Flames in an entertaining, end-to-end conference duel.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • 19' (MMU 1, CSM 0) — Mount Marty struck first midway through the opening half when Julianne Donnelly set up Addison Altwies, who beat the keeper to put the Lancers ahead 1–0.

  • 25' (MMU 2, CSM 0) — Six minutes later, Donnelly got on the scoresheet herself, finishing off a feed from Luz Rojas-Martinez to extend Mount Marty's cushion to 2–0.

  • 27' & 31' (MMU 2, CSM 2) — College of Saint Mary mounted a rapid response before halftime. Makena Kramer pulled one back unassisted in the 27th minute before Bella Olsen converted a pass from Grace Corrigan four minutes later to level the match at 2–2 going into the locker room.

  • 67' (MMU 3, CSM 2) — The Lancers regained control midway through the second period. Donnelly picked up her second assist of the day, connecting with Rhyli Grim for her fourth goal of the season in the 67th minute.

  • 71' (MMU 4, CSM 2) — Just over four minutes later, Donnelly completed her three-assist outing, finding Hailey Tinsley for an insurance strike to lock down the 4–2 road win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE Mount Marty generated dynamic pressure in the attacking third throughout the afternoon, outshooting the Flames 20–8 overall and putting 13 shots on frame compared to five for CSM. The Lancers also held a 6–3 advantage in corner kicks.

Goalkeeper Miranda Hood earned the victory in net for Mount Marty, turning aside three shots over 90 minutes. CSM netminder Jenna Brown took the loss, making nine saves under heavy pressure across 90 minutes of work.

LANCER LEADERS

  • Julianne Donnelly: Had a hand in all four Lancer goals, finishing with 5 points on 1 goal and 3 assists while placing two of her four shots on target.

  • Rhyli Grim: Led the attack with a match-high 5 shots (4 on target) and netted the go-ahead goal in the 67th minute.

  • Addison Altwies & Hailey Tinsley: Each found the back of the net to help round out a balanced, four-goal offensive outburst.

UP NEXT Mount Marty will look to keep their unbeaten record of  2–0–0 GPAC start rolling as they return home for their next conference matchup. The Lancers will play Northwestern on Saturday 5 PM.
