Mount Marty competed in the GPAC Dance competition on Friday night. Mount Marty finished ninth in the GPAC with a score of 37.33. Morningside University posted a total score of 89.24 and won the 2022 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Dance Championship on Friday in Crete, Nebraska. The event, which was also the NAIA Northwest Group Qualifier, was hosted by Doane University at the Haddix Center on campus. Morningside earns the automatic berth to the NAIA National Dance Championship by placing first.
Viterbo placed second with a total score of 83.77, while Midland was third with a total score of 83.74. For GPAC purposes Midland was second and Doane placed third with 78.53.

The NAIA National Championships will be in Ypsilanti, Michigan, hosted by the Ann Arbor Sports Commission & Concordia University Ann Arbor on March 11-12, 2022.
The GPAC Cheer Championship is tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 26) starting at 10 am at Doane University.
The GPAC Dance All-Conference Team will be released next week.
