Wayne, NE -
Both of Mount Marty's cross country teams traveled to Nebraska on Friday afternoon to compete in the Wildcat Invite.
Inside the Meet
Seven season bests highlight the Wayne State Wildcat Classic for the Lancers. "To run a season-best on a difficult hilly course like the one we faced this afternoon is a credit to the grit many of our athletes are developing on a day-by-day basis."
Kiah Trainor (JR/Rapid City, SD) and Brian Santiago once again paced the Mount Marty teams. Trainor ran to a six-second season best. Liam Vidas had the most improvement on the day with a sixty-four second season best.
Leighton Mlady (SR/Atkinson, NE),
Madison Howard (JR/Sioux Falls, SD), Cris Gonzalez, Carson Means, and Caden Ideker also had their best races thus far into the season.
MMU is back in action next Saturday (10/1) at the Briar Cliff Invitational. "After running on two extremely hilly courses in a row, we welcome the challenge of running on the fast and flat Adams Nature Preserve course next weekend."
