Mount Marty University Celebrates 48 NAIA Fall Scholar-Athletes

Mount Marty University (MMU) has announced a significant academic achievement, with 48 student-athletes earning the prestigious NAIA Fall Scholar-Athlete distinction for the 2025 season. These individuals were honored for excelling both in the classroom and in their respective sports, representing the university's commitment to the holistic student-athlete experience.

This outstanding group of 48 honorees from Mount Marty competes in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), which was noted nationally as the conference with the most scholar-athletes, leading all NAIA conferences with a total of 693 recipients this fall. Nationally, the NAIA recognized a total of 6,486 student-athletes across fall sports.


Award Criteria

To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must meet a rigorous set of academic standards. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. The awards recognize student-athletes in the fall sports of Football, Men's and Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball, and Men's and Women's Cross Country.
