Mount Marty University announces new videoboard at Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse
Jan. 9, 2026, Yankton, S.D. — Mount Marty University Athletics is proud to announce the installation of a new videoboard inside the Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse, marking a significant enhancement to the university's athletics facilities and event experience.
The new videoboard is installed on the west wall of the fieldhouse near the long jump pit and measures 22 feet wide by 13 feet high. It features a high-visual specification with a 4mm pixel pitch, delivering exceptional clarity, brightness and resolution. The display will play an essential role during home events, particularly indoor track and field meets, by providing real-time results display, live video and event recognition.
This project is made possible through the support of Yankton's CorTrust Bank, the videoboard's leading sponsor, in partnership with Market President James Grotenhuis.
"This videoboard is a meaningful upgrade for our athletics facilities and the event experience in the fieldhouse," Athletic Director Andy Bernatow said. "We are grateful for the leading support for this project from CorTrust Bank and James Grotenhuis, as well as the generosity of the Lancer Club and the fundraising efforts of our track and field coaches and student-athletes, all of which made this project possible."
"We're excited for this new addition to the fieldhouse," Grotenhuis said. "This project will impact the experience of student-athletes, spectators and visiting teams. CorTrust Bank is proud to support Mount Marty University, its student-athletes and the Yankton community."
The videoboard installation is part of Mount Marty Athletics' ongoing commitment to improving facilities, strengthening the student-athlete experience and investing in long-term program growth.
"From both a coaching and recruiting standpoint, this videoboard makes a real difference," Head Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country Coach Dan Fitzsimmons said. "It enhances communication and the overall meet experience for our student-athletes while allowing us to serve visiting teams, officials and spectators better. It's another step in showcasing Mount Marty and Yankton in a very positive way."
