GPAC Golfer of the Week twice. Her name now appears inÂ
13 of the top 20 rounds in school history, a testament to her consistency, excellence, and leadership. Heath's record-setting season made her the clear choice for this year's top female athletic honor.
Mount Marty Emil S. Liston Award Winner
Tash Lunday
Tash Lunday has been honored with the prestigious Emil S. Liston Award, recognizing his exceptional combination of athletic and academic excellence. The award is given annually to a student-athlete who has achieved junior academic standing and maintains a minimum 3.50 GPA. Lunday's dedication in the classroom and standout performance on the court set him apart as one of the NAIA's top student-athletes.
Mount Marty A.O Duer Award
Julia Weber
Julia Weber has been named the recipient of the esteemed A.O. Duer Award, recognizing her outstanding scholarship, character, citizenship, and athletic excellence. A junior with a 3.75+ GPA, Weber continued to shine on the court and in the classroom. She earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in the GPAC, finishing 5th in the conference with 310 kills. A consistent leader and NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete, Weber also etched her name in the record books, now ranking among the program's all-time greats in several single-match and career categories. Her dedication and impact make her a standout representative of the NAIA's core values.
Mount Marty Dr. Leroy Walker Albert Fernandez Champions Of Character AwardÂ
Ted BengstonÂ
Ted Bengston has been honored with the Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character Award, recognizing his excellence both on and off the course. A senior with strong academic standing and a 3.00+ GPA, Bengston has served as a team captain for two years and consistently competed as the team's No. 1 or No. 2 player. He has earned multiple top-10 finishes in tournaments and is known for his positive attitude and leadership. Bengston exemplifies the NAIA's five core values—integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership—making him a true Champion of Character.
