YANKTON, S.D. – Following a standout fall season, Mount Marty University (MMU) continues to set the bar for academic excellence in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the 2025-26 Daktronics NAIA Winter Scholar-Athletes, and 28 Lancers have earned the prestigious distinction.

In total, Mount Marty students received 28 individual awards across four winter programs: Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Competitive Cheer.

Excellence in the Classroom

The Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete program recognizes student-athletes who maintain a high level of academic achievement while competing at the varsity level. To be eligible, a student-athlete must:

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport.

  • Have attended their current institution for at least one full year.
