Mount Marty traveled down to Seward to play Dakota Wesleyan. The Lancers swept the day and improved to 23-4 overall and 6-0 in GPAC play. DWU is now 3-14 overall and 0-6 in GPAC play.
Game One
Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Friday, but Mount Marty defeated Dakota Wesleyan University 3-1. MMU's pitchers allowed just three hits to Dakota Wesleyan University.
Myles Brown was credited with the victory for the Lancers. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out five. Â
Heston Williams threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
#18 toed the rubber for Dakota Wesleyan University. undefined lasted five innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out two. Â #34 threw two innings in relief.

Will Gardner and
Billy Hancock all managed multiple hits for the Lancers. Â Hancock and Gardner all had two hits to lead the Lancers. MMU was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.

Game Two
Mount Marty wins contest against Dakota Wesleyan University on Friday, Â 6-1
Dakota Wesleyan University got things started in the second inning. Â #24 singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Mount Marty evened things up at one in the top of the third inning. Â
Billy Hancock's sac fly scored one run for the Lancers.Â
Mount Marty pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. Â In the fourth
Kiko Nunez's sac fly scored one run for MMU.
The Lancers tallied four runs in the ninth inning.  The offensive firepower by MMU was led by
Zane Salley,
Bodi Wallar, and
Josh Mares, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Clayton Chipchase got the start for the Lancers Chipchase surrendered one run on four hits over eight innings, striking out eight.
Aspen Dahl came into pitch the final inning retiring the three DWU hitters he saw.Â
Mount Marty totaled nine hits in the game.  Nunez, Salley,
Braeden Cordes, and Mares all managed multiple hits for MMU. Â Mares, Cordes, Salley, and Nunez each managed two hits to lead the Lancers.Â
