Over the weekend, Mount Marty Archery embarked on their first long-distance tournament of the year, engaging in the rigorous challenges of the First Dakota Classic. Day one saw competitors facing 60 arrows across distances of 40, 50, and 60 yards, setting the stage for a thrilling day two of elimination matches. Impressively, the entire team performed admirably during the qualifying rounds, positioning themselves favorably for the battles ahead.
Lalit Jain clinched victory in the Recurve Flights category, while
Savannah Chouinard dominated the Barebow Recurve Flights division.
Brady Klassen secured third place in the 7th Flight of Compound Flights, contributing to the team's stellar performance.
Throughout the classic, standout moments included Zoe Woods' valiant effort against the first place qualifier in Compound Flights, Griffen Wieneke's advancement to the final distance in the Amateur 3 Star Shootout, and Reid Hansen's commendable fourth-place finish in Bowhunter Flight two.
