Lancers Secure 4th Place Collegiate Finish in Weekend Tournament
The Mount Marty University Archery Team continued its strong season with a 4th-place finish in the collegiate division during last weekend's competition. Multiple archers delivered standout performances across various divisions.
In the Recurve division, Hailee Pringle led the way with a 1st-place finish in Flight 7, scoring 755 5X, while Catalina Herrera followed closely behind in 11th place overall with a 741 4X. Tim Westphal competed in Flight 6, placing 21st overall and 12th in the collegiate rankings with a 750 2X. Savannah Chouinard impressed in the Recurve Barebow Flight 4, finishing 3rd among collegiate archers and 23rd overall with a 641 2X.
In the Compound division, Chloe Madison and Maren Sanders had a tight competition in Flight 7, scoring 886 40Xand 885 47X, placing 15th and 12th in collegiate standings, respectively. Carlee Ready had a strong showing in Flight 27, earning 3rd place overall and 30th in collegiate rankings with a 849 24X. Sawyer Goeden competed in Flight 37, placing 10th overall with a 722 4X.
On the men's side, Teagan Herold competed in the highly competitive Championship Compound Open division, finishing 16th in collegiate standings with an 889 46X. Lucas Hayes continued his strong season in Bowhunter Flight 2, securing 7th place in collegiate rankings with a score of 871 31X.
With another solid performance, the Lancers proved their consistency on the national stage. The team now looks ahead to its next challenge, which will be the Collegiate Nationals in May.Â
