Nine athletes represented the Lancers at the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, FL on February 27-March 1. At the conclusion of the meet, the Lancers came away with two school records and one finalist.
Senior Logan Ferrari broke his own school record again in the prelims of the 5,000 running 14:42.30, which was fast enough to qualify him to the final. Ferrari finished 11th in the final running 14:53.03. Ferrari also competed in the 3,000 and finished 18th with a time of 8:57.10.
Sophomore Mya Zohner equaled the school record in the pole vault again with a vault of 11' 9.75". Zohner finished 13th in the event.
Sophomore Zavio Prato competed in the 400 and finished 18th with a time of 51.27. Senior Luke Rettedal competed in the shot put and didn't register a legal throw.
Juniors Zelie Sorensen and Alexis Even, senior Ashinee George, and junior Josey Wahlstrom finished 15th in the 4x400 with a time of 3:56.05. Even also competed in the 200 and finished 16th with a time of 25.50. Junior Lexa Burtzlaff also represented the Lancers as an alternate for the 4x400.
The Lancers will start the outdoor season at the Wayne State College Wildcat Classic in Wayne, NE on March 28-29. In the final event squad rankings for the indoor season, the women have 3 event squads ranked nationally in the top 20 and the men have 4.
