Mount Marty University Earns NAIA Champions of Character® Five-Star Gold Award

Kansas City, MO — Mount Marty University has achieved the highest tier of recognition in collegiate athletics, earning the NAIA Champions of Character® Five-Star Gold Award.

Mount Marty is one of 203 NAIA member institutions recognized for a total commitment to character-driven athletics. Schools are measured across five key areas: character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. The Lancers stood out at the elite Gold level thanks to exceptional student-athlete GPAs and an exemplary disciplinary record with minimal to no ejections throughout the year.

Mount Marty's commitment to integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership also helped propel its home conference, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), to earn the official NAIA Five-Star Conference Award. To secure this recognition, the GPAC met strict oversight standards and saw over 60% of its member schools achieve individual Five-Star status.
