Brookings, SD -- Mount Marty competed in the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend and are returning to Yankton with two All-Americans. Between the Men's and Women's team, the Lancers had eight individual performances, two multi events, and two relays compete.
Mason Schleis and
Seth Wiebelhaus both competed and placed in the Top 4 in the Heptathlon, with Schleis taking 3rd and Wiebelhaus placing 4th.
The Men's Track and Field team collected 11 points at the Championships to finish 29th overall. They had two multi events, one relay, and five individual events compete. The Women's team had three individual events and one relay.
Mason Schleis broke the Mount Marty school record and placed third in the Heptathlon with 5,104 points for his first All-American medal.
Seth Wiebelhaus placed fourth with 4,949 points to become a four-time Indoor Track & Field All-American.

With the Indoor Track & Field season coming to an end, the teams will rest and then begin to prepare for the Outdoor season. The first meet for the teams will take place on March 24 and 25 in Wayne, Neb. More information will be shared the week of the meet.
