Mount Marty Track & Field Programs Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors; 11 Lancers Named All-Academic Athletes
NEW ORLEANS — The Mount Marty University track and field program has been awarded with the academic awards from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Both the women's and men's track and field programs were officially designated as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams for the 2026 NAIA season, maintaining a cumulative team GPA over 3.0. Additionally, 11 Lancer student-athletes were named 2026 NAIA All-Academic Athletes for their elite achievements in competition and the classroom.
Excellence On and Off the Track
To achieve All-Academic Team honors, a program must post a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale across all student-athletes on the eligibility roster. Both Lancer squads cleared that bar with room to spare.
Individually, USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete status is reserved for student-athletes who maintain high academic marks while hitting national championship qualification criteria. Mount Marty saw six women and five men earn the prestigious national distinction across a diverse range of academic majors:
