The Lancer track and field teams competed at the Mount Marty Twilight on April 23. At the conclusion of the meet, the Lancers came away with one new 'B' standard and five event titles.
Freshman Paige Clausen hit the 'B' standard in the pole vault with a height of 11' 11.75". Clausen finished 3rd in the event.
On the women's side, junior Zelie Sorensen won the 200 in a time of 25.03.
On the men's side, freshman Joseph Cross won the 10,000 with a time of 32:45.36. Senior Luke Rettedal won the shot put with a throw of 55' 0.75". Sophomore Cooper Grotenhuis won the triple jump with a jump of 43' 3.75". The men's 4x400 relay won with a time of 3:22.91. The quartet featured freshmen Austin Gobel and Christopher Munoz-Sturgeon, junior Carl Massa, and sophomore Zavio Prato.
The Lancers had many additional top-8 finishes and have 4 event squads ranked nationally in the top 20. They will compete next at the Drake Relays on April 23-26 and the Kip Janvrin Open on April 24-25.
