Mount Marty University Elevates Alec Laraby to Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

YANKTON, S.D. — Mount Marty University Head Men's Basketball Coach Collin Authier announced today the promotion of Alec Laraby to Assistant Men's Basketball Coach. Laraby steps into the new role after serving as a graduate assistant for the Lancers over the past two seasons.

Laraby, who has been an integral part of the program, brings a strong understanding of Mount Marty's culture and mission. In his time with the team, he has played a vital role in player development, scouting, recruiting, and day-to-day operations under Coach Authier and Associate Head Coach Marty Gross.

"Alec has earned this opportunity through his work ethic, loyalty, and commitment to our student-athletes," said Coach Authier. "He understands what it takes to build a program on and off the court, and he has a bright future in this profession."

His strong relationships with players and recruits, combined with his work ethic, have made him a trusted voice within the program.

In his new role, Laraby will continue to assist in all aspects of the men's basketball program, including recruiting, skill development, game preparation, and player mentorship.
