Mount Marty University

Dr. Lofthus started working at Mount Marty College in 1989 as a professor of history. In 1991, he was appointed the Faculty Athletic Representative for the college and served in that capacity until 2012. Besides his official duties, he was also a valued source of information and experience for the athletic department in all aspects of the operation. Countless hours were spent to be sure that the interests of the athletes were well served and earning their degrees. “Doc” is also known for his photography skills, many of the photos seen on the Lancer WEB page are from his camera. Dr. Lofthus has served on many committees for the college and the conference, including serving as President of the Great Plains Athletic Conference from 2010 to 2012.
