Schlimgen, one of the most successful coaches in Lancer history, coached the women’s basketball and golf teams from 2008 to 2018. His basketball teams qualified for three NAIA National Tournaments, including the 2016 team that made it to the semi-finals. He coached six All-Americans, 23 All-Conference players, and 33 Academic All-Americans. Every team he coached was rated in the top 25 in academic success in the NAIA, including three of the teams that were rated # 1 in the country. Schlimgen also had great success in the golf program, having the highest finish in the GPAC for any Lancer golf team. He was named the GPAC Coach of the Year in 2015.
