one of South Dakota’s most honored sports contributors, he is the only person in the nation to be named the state’s Broadcaster of the Year and Sportswriter of the Year. Mr. Nielsen is the only sports reporter to have covered the Lancers during the entire history of intercollegiate athletics. He has also served as the Lancer Sports Information Director and has served on other advisory committees for Lancer Athletics.
