Mount Marty University

Her track and field career (2000-2004) got a quick start as she was a national qualifier for both the Indoor and Outdoor NAIA Track and Field Championship in her freshman year. Was an All-American her sophomore year in the long jump, and proceeded to win 3 other All-American awards, all in the multi-events, including placing 2nd in the nation in the heptathlon in 2003. Earned 14 Great Plains Athletic Conference All-Conference Awards and was named the GPAC Track and Field Female Athlete of the Year for both the Indoor and Outdoor seasons.  Michelle earned 4 Academic All-American Awards, and set 19 school records. She was named Mount Marty College’s Athlete of the Year and received the Champion of Character award in 2004.
